Delete your Spritz account

Spritz is made by Spritz Social, Inc. You can delete your Spritz account and the personal data linked to it at any time. Deletion is permanent and can't be undone.

Request deletion without the app

Email [email protected] from the email address on your Spritz account and ask us to delete it. Include your Spritz username. We verify that the account is yours before we delete it. You don't need the app installed.

Delete it in the app

1. Open Spritz and go to Settings › Account.
2. Tap Delete Account and confirm.
3. Type DELETE.
4. Enter the verification code we send you. It goes to the phone number on your account.

If your account has no phone number, or the code doesn't arrive, email [email protected] instead.

What gets deleted

We delete or irreversibly de-identify your personal information within 30 days, and always within the period applicable law requires. That includes your profile, your name, email address, phone number and date of birth, and the content you posted, which is hidden and no longer linked to you.

Messages, comments and replies that are part of other people's conversations may stay so those conversations still make sense, but they are no longer linked to your profile. Backup copies are overwritten as they age out of our normal backup rotation.

What we keep, and for how long

• Payment and transaction records (Stripe references, amounts, dates and types): as long as tax and financial-recordkeeping laws require, typically up to 7 years.
• Records of safety, abuse or fraud investigations, including reports about the account: only as long as needed for those purposes, or longer under a legal requirement or legal hold.
• Security logs, such as IP addresses tied to security events: for a limited period.
• Records of your privacy choices, de-identified: as long as needed to show they were properly honored.
• Engagement, ad-view and viewing-time records: kept only in de-identified form, no longer linked to your account.
• Anything under a legal hold, subpoena or court order: until the hold is released or the process ends.

Just want a break?

You can deactivate your account instead in Settings › Account. Deactivating hides your profile and content but keeps your data, so you can come back by signing in again.
